Dallas's farm-to-table festival is back for another week of chefs cooking with local growers.
Chefs For Farmers Food + Wine Festival is in its 16th edition, running Tuesday 4 through Saturday 8 November across the city. What began in 2010 as a single farm supper for about 125 people has grown into five days of dinners, tastings and chef-farmer collaborations.
The ticketed Main Event is at Old City Park, 1515 South Harwood Street, from 2pm on Saturday 7 November through 6pm on Sunday 8 November. Guests get unlimited food and drink from Texas chefs who source ingredients from local farms. Each participating chef receives a stipend from the festival to buy that produce.
This year also opened with the festival's first Friends of James Beard Dinner on 4 November, a collaboration with the James Beard Foundation.
