Festival Apps

For organisers

How It Works

Build Your Own Event App. Without Building an App.

Commissioning a bespoke event app takes a budget you probably do not have and a lead time you definitely do not have. Festival Apps skips both. You claim your event, fill in what you know, and a connected app experience exists for it — usually the same afternoon.

Five steps

From Claiming It to Running It Live

Claim your event

Tell us what your event is called, where it happens and roughly when. We check it is actually yours, then set it up across the platform and hand you the keys to Genie.

Fill in what you have

Add stages, running orders, traders, facilities and site information. Partial is fine — most organisers start with a name and a date and build it up as the event firms up.

Go live across five apps

Your event appears on the Mapp App, in Festie Bestie with its own chat room, in Festie Foodie for your traders and in CrapAdviser for your facilities — all at once, from the one set of information.

Run it live on the day

Post bulletins, move pins, push a weather notice, slide a set time. Every change reaches the phones on site immediately — no reprint, no reissue, no app update.

Keep it between seasons

Your event stays listed all year. Returning visitors find you, the community keeps talking, and next year starts from what you already built instead of a blank page.

The honest version

What You Get and What You Do Not

Worth being straight about this, because "build your own app" gets used loosely.

  • What you get A working, connected app experience for your event across five apps, an organiser dashboard, a live channel to everyone on site, a trader directory, facility reporting and a permanent listing that keeps working between events.
  • What you do not get A white-labelled app in the stores under your own event's name. Your event lives inside the Festival Apps platform — which is exactly why it costs nothing to run and why your visitors already have it installed from the last event they went to.
