Mansfield's High Country Festival is on this weekend, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, in Victoria's High Country. It has been running since 1983 and is presented by Mansfield Shire Council, with community groups hosting extra events around it.

Friday 30 October

  • Kidsfest and action zone, main stage music and street eats, 5pm to 9pm
  • CFA Torchlight Parade, 8.15pm
  • Fireworks, 8.40pm

Saturday 31 October

  • Grand Parade at 11.30am from Botanic Park along High Street. This year's theme is 'Music', with floats from local groups, schools and businesses.

Main events in town are free and need no booking. High Street closes for the parades. Organisers suggest leaving dogs at home on Friday night because of the fireworks.
