One of Adelaide's longest-running Christmas traditions turns 45 this month.
The Fullarton Christmas Fair started in 1981 on the front verandah of a friend's house. It later moved to St Peters Town Hall, and is now held at Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Road, Fullarton.
More than 50 stallholders take part, all by invitation and all selling handmade goods. "Our point of difference is that we're all handmade," said fair manager Jane Wyly.
Expect Christmas decorations, children's clothing, soy candles, jewellery, garden accessories and home baking. New this year are quill crafts, handmade terracotta plant pots, new jewellery makers, quirky ceramics and succulents, and three local artists will take over a corner of the fair.
Most stalls are indoors, spilling out to an outdoor area with coffee, donuts, a sausage sizzle, Vietnamese treats and face painting. A roaming Santa is back for 2026.
